Fresh Local Produce to Our Door
As Trev left for work this morning, he noticed we had our first delivery of fresh organic local(ish) produce. We finally decided to try it. We were quite excited, especially me and Avalina.
Avalina tried taking the stem off the radish, but decided not to taste it. Then she bit right into the center of a stalk of celery. Next was a bite of plum. Last, as I’m trying to finish getting things put away, it was a bite of a nectarine.
Glad she was so excited. 🙂
The box we chose came with basic stuff we know we’ll eat that doesn’t need to be cooked: plums, nectarines, red leaf lettuce, celery, carrots, gypsy peppers, lemon cucumbers, radishes, avocados, cherry tomatoes, and heirloom tomatoes.
Now we have to decide if we’ll just buy from the store in the future, try a more local farm, like in Sebastopol, and drive to pick up the boxes, or try this again.
