On Friday, December 23rd … “Today is our Christmas and I already am reminded of how blessed I am. Yesterday, as I was struggling with disappointment and sadness I knew that God wanted me to have a good attitude regardless of my circumstances. I prayed and then pulled my oldest daughter to me. I wrapped my arms around her and cried, sharing with her a little and asking if she would help me to have a good attitude for the day. She listened, hugged me, and of course said she would help me. We had a really good day and, while I cleaned, she was making me a gift. This morning I opened her gift: a coffee cozy with a cute red truck and tree on it – a theme I absolutely loved this year and she knew. It’s not really the big gifts, or expensive gifts that are most special. It is the time, love, and thoughtfulness that I so appreciated!”
