A Week In Sheridan: Day One
Day one was a travel day, but even in the hustle and bustle we find time to make memories.
Having to set alarms and awake after a short sleep, we load up and drive to the city to catch an early flight, Firsts achieved on this trip was learning the ropes of checking a firearm and convincing the airline staff that Abeletham was indeed our son. About an hour an a half after landing in Denver we are in our Expedition and headed north.
We stopped in Cheyenne for a late breakfast at a diner attached to a gas station. The folks were friendly and the food was decent. The short patient man running the place talked of the troubles of youth pastoring in a community where kids get in trouble playing with guns and seem to want direction and to misbehave all in one.
We found the grocery store in Casper we visited nine months prior, refueled and continued to our destination. We arrived after dark to the house we rented, where we ordered pizza and settled in.
