Have I mentioned that we have chickies?!?! We were surprised when one of our hens was already sitting on a clutch of eggs. We had planned to wait for spring weather before trying to have chicks, but this hen had other plans.

She’s been an attentive mama and we have 9 chicks that are half grown already, it seems.

We love the chicks and even the hens, but roosters are quite another story.
