As is tradition with Trevor’s family, the main part of the Christmas celebrations takes place on Christmas Eve evening.  So, we arrived after the girls napped, around 4:30pm.  We had delicious dinner together followed by a CRAZY time of opening presents.  🙂

It has already become a blur to me.  I remember the MANY presents each of the girls got to open.  Ama would open one at a time and just savor every moment with the gift she had just received.  She got a new Bible, like one she already had that fell apart, a One Year Devotions book for Preschoolers, which she loves, a ballerina doll, fuzzy flip flop slippers and clothes to name a few.  Adeliza enjoyed other peoples’ presents even more than opening her own.  She seemed to want to be involved in watching or helping someone else open their presents.  She did stop and play with her new animal puzzle.  She received a Creation Bible book like Oma and Granddad have at their house, clothes, and more.  I don’t believe Avalina was awake for most of the present opening time, which was just as well.  Adeliza helped me open some of her presents.  She received a Noah’s Ark book, tights, hair things, a teether, and mommy’s current favorite, a new diaper pail liner for her cloth diapers.  🙂  (I don’t think she even realized she got it.)

The three got a new step stool for the bathroom as well.  It has been greatfun to be able to see into the mirror better and actually brush teeth and wash hands in the sink more easily.  However, I have already found them both in the cabinet.  I think Ama just opened it and pulled a few things out.  Adeliza, on the other hand was standing in the sink with quite a few things out.  Now, her being in the sink is not a first, but it sure was faster and easier using that stool. 🙂

We enjoyed the evening with Trevor’s parents, grandparents, and Uncle Don.  We look forward to seeing Trevor’s sister, Sarah, brother in law Jon, and niece Milah next month!!!
